“La Piedrita” is a community in “23 de Enero”, which is a neighborhood in Caracas, Venezuela named in commemoration of the expulsion of the last dictatorship in Venezuela led by Marcos Perez Jimenez, on January 23, 1958. Parts of the sculpture include fragments of a relief print that was made inspired by cityscapes from the area. The burnt areas of the sculpture represent buildings' decay over time.
